Many experiences and events have been undergone since, at the beginning of 1997, the current International Business Programme (IBP) began to be developed.
With time, we have consolidated a wide range of training to achieve one basic objective: to teach today's professionals how to carry out positions of responsibility in enterprises, institutions and business associations. The international activity involved in all of them requires in-depth knowledge of the markets and commercial and investments operations abroad, both during economic prosperity and in times of recession, such as those we are suffering today.
For this reason, the programme has a strong practical component based on 3 fundamental aspects:
• The commercial Mission is an activity actually supporting a company in order to provide international contacts with possible agents, distributors or suppliers.
• Business experience, which are training sessions in which important entrepreneurs and professionals explain, in first person, the international trajectory of their companies.
• The thesis is the final work of the master's course, in which participants need to write up and defend a plan of internationalization or an entrepreneurial initiative with an inter-
national scope. Up to now, more than 600 participants from 30 different nationalities have already studied some of the programmes, providing an incalculable variety of richness in the debates. A plurality which is also present among the teaching staff, which includes, thanks to the established agreements with international universities, lecturers from six different countries.
It is a programme with great communicative richness based on personalized tutoring, continuous interaction between the teaching staff and the participants and the use of the Global Campus, which is as important as the programme contents. Apart from broad knowledge of international markets, the IBP students acquire certain transversal competences which are increasingly essential in the negotiation and management of international enterprises.
The programme offers the possibility of undertaking a placement. Said placement is not guaranteed and it is subject to avalability depending on the number of places offered by entities and the suitability of the participant's profile for the placement. The professional placements should be applied for at registration time. |
