BI puts innovation into practice
02.02.2010, BI Norwegian School of Management, January 2010
As an integrated part of its master programme, BI Norwegian School of Management is now entering into its first work placement agreement in Norway.

Oslo Innovation Center AS and BI Norwegian School of Management have signed an agreement to develop an internship programme for 15 master students in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

”The need for innovation is increasing. By combining BI’s research-based competence with Oslo Innovation Center’s practical experience, BI Norwegian School of Management and Oslo Innovation Center are developing a learning partnership to the benefit of students, the school and Oslo Innovation Center,” says BI President Tom Colbjørnsen.

”The students gain insight into the big picture, which will give them a good start and better qualifications to succeed. This partnership provides BI with important impulses for both research and teaching,” concludes Colbjørnsen.

”The entrepreneurs in our incubator have a challenging task of launching the companies and the products onto the market. The students will be given an assignment where they will prepare international market analyses and financing and launch plans for commercialising the projects. We are looking forward to welcoming the students as real manpower, and they will be rewarded with valuable work experience from our innovation environment,” says Kjell Thoresen of Oslo Innovation Center.
